This is my modernized version of the iconic Marine Bolo from WWII. It’s a great blend of a chopping and fighting tool.
Thicker and heavier than a traditional machete it excels at cutting larger vegetation. The blade is convex ground out of super tough 80CrV2 steel so that it will never fail when you need it most. A varied grind offers a thin section near the handle for precise cuts that slowly tapers out to a thick convex for chopping and rough work.
The thick micarta scales are scalloped for great grip. They are secured with epoxy and Corby bolts for a durable, tight fit.
This Bolo includes a kydex sheath that can be set up to be carried in a variety of ways.
